This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") sets out how ASHIKA Network (the "Service") collects, uses and protects your personal information. Please read it in full before using the Service.
Article 1 (Compliance with laws)
- In handling personal information, the Service complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (the "APPI") and other related laws and regulations.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "You" or "customer" means a person who has registered an account with the Service, or who is about to register.
- "Personal information" means personal information as defined in Article 2 of the APPI, including information that on its own can identify an individual, such as name, address, phone number, email address and official identification documents.
- "Stored data" means files and data that a customer has placed, edited or generated within the Service's servers or runtime environments.
Article 3 (Information we collect)
In providing the Service, we may collect the following information.
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Postal code and address
- Google account display name, user information and icon
- Discord account display name, username, user ID, icon and bio
- User agent information, such as the type of browser
- IP address and access logs
- Approximate location estimated from the IP address
Article 4 (Purposes of use)
We use the personal information and stored data we collect for the following purposes.
- To provide and operate the Service
- To send notices about the Service, two-factor authentication codes, and other necessary emails
- To answer inquiries (including confirming your identity)
- To bill customers who rent servers
- To check registered information when the Service finds something suspicious
- To investigate possible unauthorized use of an account by a third party
- To investigate possible violations of the Terms of Service or individual provisions
- To identify people who have committed violations or who try to use the Service for improper or wrongful purposes, and to refuse their use
- To let you view, change and delete your registered information and check your usage
- To compile statistics on the use of the Service
- To claim damages in the event of a serious violation
- For purposes incidental to the above
Article 5 (Disclosure to third parties)
- We do not provide personal information or stored data to third parties without your consent, except where permitted by the APPI or other laws, or in any of the following cases:
- When it is necessary to protect a person's life, body or property and it is difficult to obtain the person's consent
- When it is especially necessary for the healthy upbringing of children and it is difficult to obtain the person's consent
- When it is necessary for a national agency, a local government, or a party entrusted by them to carry out duties prescribed by law, and obtaining the person's consent is difficult or would likely hinder those duties
Article 6 (Security measures)
- We take the measures necessary to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, leakage and loss.
- Passwords are not stored as they are; they are stored in a form that cannot be reversed.
Article 7 (Analytics)
- To improve the Service and understand how it is used, we may use Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC.
- Google Analytics uses cookies to collect data. The data collected is anonymous and does not identify individuals.
- You can refuse this collection by disabling cookies in your browser settings.
Article 8 (Requests for disclosure, correction and suspension of use)
- If you wish us to notify you of the purposes of use of retained personal data; to disclose retained personal data or records of provision to third parties (as defined in Article 33, Paragraph 5 of the APPI); to correct, add to or delete its contents; to stop using or erase it; or to stop providing it to third parties, or if you have a complaint about the handling of personal information, please contact the office in Article 9.
- When disclosure is requested under the law, we will disclose without delay after confirming your identity.
- Disclosure is made by post, and a fee of ¥300 per request is charged.

Article 10 (Changes to the Policy)
- Except where laws or other rules provide otherwise, we may change the Policy.
- The changed Policy takes effect when it is posted on this website.
